It's very important to take puppies to the vet for their first examination.
I had a "pick puppy" I was going to get. At 7 wks of age the breeder took
the litter to the vet for their first checks. Out of all of the puppies, it
was MY pick of the litter that had a huge heart murmur. If it wouldn't have
been for the vet check the puppy then would've been shipped all the way from
MN to AZ. Then my vet would've found it. Not good...;o( Koda's Kathy

I cannot understand why people do not see the vet for the first shots.
My vet does a thorough physical before giving the shot, and has found
other problems a couple of times. These findings ended up saving me a
bundle of money. He does not charge for an office visit for this shot.
