A friend of mine drives a truck. In the 80's he took loads of Horses,& Cattle
to Canada. He said the rule was the animal had to be standing or it couldn't
cross the boarder. Steve told me they simply stuffed the truck with so many
animals that even if they died there wasn't enough room for them to fall down.

I have mixed feelings and before you all jump on me, you should understand
hat I showed hunter/jumpers as a Junior, then later had race horses and
elieve a horse is one of God's greatest gifts....
TOH what to do when one can no longer afford horses or when race horses
re at the end, rescues are full, leads to the worst auctions imaginable and
orses shipped in horrific conditions (I'll spare you) to Canada.
hen even this was "regulated" conditions worsened...waaaayyyyy worse....
hat said, if it meant a hungry child could eat, I'd eutahnize the horse
yself.
