[ SHOWGSD-L ] Non GSD - BIS brag for my friend Meredith

This is not a brag for a GSD but for my very good friend, Meredith Noreen,
who bred and handled German Shepherds for many years. Meredith did not start
showing until she was in her forties and put many championships, breed wins,
group wins and placements on GSDs both that she bred and bred by others. She
showed almost all of the conformation dogs bred by me and put on their
championship titles in both AKC and the International shows. About two years
ago, she
had to give up showing GSDs because of a debilitating disease in her joints and
she no longer had the strength to handle and runs shepherds. She moved on to
the smaller breeds like Corgis and Tollers once they were accepted into AKC.
She just called me from the shows in Ventura, CA and Meredith got her first
BEST IN SHOW!!!! She has come very close before with multiple Group ones on
the shepherds she showed, but this was her first AKC BIS and she is so excited
as I am. The breed and group judge was Jacqueline Hungerland and the BIS judge
was a Mrs. Allen. Maverick, the toller, is owned by Linda Fitzmaurice and had
multiple group ones.
CONGRATULATIONS TO TANTE M!!! For those of you who know her, you now how
special this is for her and how well she deserves it.
She is not on email, but if you would like to send your congratulations to
me, I will print them and give them to her. Or if you have her number, I am
sure she would appreciate hearing from you when she returns home mid-afternoon
tomorrow.
