Sure seems it is easy for anyone to "read" something into a small comment or
agreement.
Often a small comment or agreement is misunderstood and "read" wrong or
resented for no
"real" reason.
I think most of us really care about who judges the National and always take
that vote very very
seriously. It is a major week out of all of our lives and a pretty big
expense. We would all be
plain stoooooopid if we didn't take it to heart and vote for judges who take
this Breed and the
Standard and a National win very seriously. None of us should expect to win
under any judge
all the time....but we SHOULD expect integrity, honesty, wisdom, and a really
deep concern for
the Standard and this awesome Breed! It shouldn't be about friendship NOR
politics....
ESPECIALLY at the National level.
I don't vote for Obedience judges most of the time for that very reason. I
don't know enough.

Often people complain because there are a chosen few Judges who do get the
National judging
assignment quite often. AND they often pull the biggest entry. IMO Why
not....if that is who
most people believe are the ones who fit the above criteria?

I would hope no one will vote because I say I support someone.

I have been reading all the pleas to ask us to vote for someone. Everyone does
say the same things,
and they do so to be elected. I noted that the candidates are all good people
and everyone I have seen
so far running for the board, would be someone I support. I do have some
feelings about who would
be best for our club, or for judging our National, but that is just my opinion.
It means no more than yours.

If anyone votes only because I say I like this or that person, it would be a
shame. You need to consider everything you can find out about someone, what
other say, what you have heard, and then decide for yourself. I would urge you
not to listen to one person, not to believe everything you read, and never
fear to do what you think is right. And, more so, never worry about what
others might say about you,
or who might criticize your opinions.

and if you don't agree with whom ever Evan and friends are touting for 2016 or
2017
National Judges, you make enemies by saying so. I don't like being in the
position of
going "against the tide" but my final commitment Is always to the German
Shepherd
Dog. Credentials before friendships, records before gifts, and most important,
invest
your time before you invest your vote. Your vote is as important as everyone
else's,
so listen to no one. Check the history of the judge. Check their past and
their winners.
Check their record as a breeder and involvement in the breed and parent club
working
to better the breed....then vote.
