In my opinion, it's not only the handler's fault. I've had a perfect example
with my bitch last year. She was used to a certain handler, but was shown by
one who was just as qualified as the first. The bitch simply did not connect
with the new handler and consequently did not show to her potential.
The morale of the story: It does not matter how good the handler is, don't
change the handler if the dog is uncomfortable with change.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you Pam.
That's like saying that anyone who has access to pencil and paper
can write a great novel or draw a beautiful picture.
I have watched, as an exhibitor and a judge, too many dogs get so
poorly presented that you that you can't tell much about their structure
or how well they can move.....we've all seen it.
