hole in the back yard, lined it with rocks, built the BBQ fire, let it
burn down a bit, lined with more rocks, prepared whole pig – rubs, sauce,
salt, pepper, and other stuff – wrapped it in burlap and threw it in the pit.
Come dinner time, the family lieu was surprise by the succulent aroma, the
grand expectations – dug up the pig – Raw! Did not cook at all!
One year some friends of ours decided to cook the turkey outside on the
grill, with a rotisery, (man, even spell check can't help me here). Now,
usually in Michigan at Thanksgiving, it is cold and even can snow.
They thawed the turkey the week before, rubbed it with spices, and put it
on the grill at 6:00 am. When the family got there at 2:00pm for dinner
they took it off and brought it into the house.
All that cooked was the skin, the rest of the bird looked like it still
could fly. If turkeys could fly.
Everyone went to McDonalds.
