Interesting analogy. However, you are a human. What we expect in our GSD's is a dog who can perform their required tasks. A herding dog cannot become distracted by loud noises. Nor can a seeing eye dog or a police dog. We depend on these dogs for our lives or the lives of our livestock. That is what they were bred for. Many Soldiers and police officers would be killed if they had to depend on a dog with substandard temperamnet or noise sensitivity. Show dogs should not be exepmpt from this trait, just because they are show dogs. They are GSD's and should be a representative of this breed, sound and willing to perform their duties as well as having grace and beauty. A dog who cannot meet those criteria should not be rewarded. Simple as that. JMHO In a message dated 7/15/2006 10:03:15 AM Pacific Standard Time, ELG440@xxxxxxx writes: I just don't like noise. I would think there might be German shepherds that agree with me, but are still sound.
