The only consideration was that entries dropped this year when
almost every region was judged by a Handler who then could not
show in that region, nor could their clients. Increasing entries are a
priority.
Yes, we know Jimmy is an AKC Judge and breeder - not a handler.
We now have a new Committee Chair (Karin Waner) who will have
a new committee to make suggestions to the Board in January for
the upcoming years regarding the Futurity. For all we know, they
might suggest handlers judging the F/M or maybe even only x% of
the judges for the F/M can be handlers. WE will have to wait and
see.
Personally, it never occured to me that handlers could be
considered a conflict of interest.
And the FInals (aka National Show) are not judged by handlers etc
but rather by judges Selected by the Membership
If you have ideas about to to improve the F/M, send them to the
CHAIR
If you have helpful comments on the Nationals, send them to the
National Chair.
My moma always said, if you can't say something nice, say nothing
at all, and you get more flies with honey than vinegar,
And your Board cannot legislate morality (or as Jeff Says, honesty),
ethics etc.
