Another product that is really great: rocksolidfloors.com for those looking
for something durable and dressier than traditional epoxy flooring.
Available at Home Depot, as well as online (they have a find a retailer on
their site). It is 20x stronger than epoxy, doesn't smell like epoxy either
when you are working with it, and has a longer work time than does epoxy.
We put it in at the vet clinic a couple of years ago. Still looks like it
was put down last week (does not have any extra clear coat on it,and looks
just like the adverts do. (!!!). We finished the business day Friday, did
the floors Saturday, and business back to normal on Monday morning, using
the metallic finish in "cherry bomb".
Comes in many finish styles & in numerous colors, and, for the solid
colors, "chips" are offered to have the look of a traditional epoxy floor.
It goes down with a roller on a pole, just like you are painting a floor --
so easy!
We used the "indoor" type, but they also offer a "garage" floor formula
that I imagine is even tougher than the indoor formula. Can be used on wood
sub-flooring or concrete. I have even thought about using here at my new
house that I am enlarging & remodeling the kitchen...
