Maybe that is the problem. It is but another dog show. They try to make it
a big deal, but for years it was by invitation only based on past wins,
and not always the best dogs were there. It was who got shown the most.
I had no dog in that fight. I wanted Rumor to win because I like her
owners, I have been friends with the handler for years,and as a person
involved
with German shepherds for close to 50 years, I think she is a good as I
would want to see. If she were under me to judge, it is possible I would go
with another dog however, depending on who was there.
The AKC picked their judge, the exhibitors entered their dogs under that
judge,and we got to watch a dog show.
I didn't know the judge was Canadian. Knowing Bill Basu as I do, that
explains a lot.
