The obedience rules state: "It is also essential that the dog
demonstrate willingness and
enjoyment while it is working and that a smooth and natural handler be
given precedence over a handler moving with military precision and
using harsh commands."
also that "Roughness in handling, military precision or harsh commands
by the handler must also be penal-
ized. "
So no, military snap snap obedience is NOT the right way. But I sure
do prefer a dog who likes like she wants to be there! Not enough dogs
demonstrate willingness and enjoyment while working.
