I've chipped my dogs since the mid 90's. Once in a while chips move, had a
couple disappear in older dogs. But they work, I personally have received calls
from different animal controls who have picked up a dog with my chip. Most of
the time I can get them back to their owners. This spring I picked one up from
Alameda AC that had been rehomed and picked up as a stray. After his stray hold
was up and no owner showed up I went and got him. Anyone need a nice neutered
male?
Dr Chuck Kruger used to tattoo my pups at eight weeks when we did palpation of
the hips. Those tats lasted forever. But I've had a few imports those tattoos
faded out. Still they are better than nothing. Anja
