This information is entirely correct. Also permission of the judge that you
observe under and permission of Show Chairman,as well.But since the AKC
considers a Futurity as simply a match,all bets are off. The Futurity Chair
and
GSDCA Board can make the rules.. Not having knowledge of good procedure it the
one of the things that really delays the judging---where you find that it
takes a full day to judge a 100 dogs.At a AKC show,even with taking pictures
as you go along,it would take about 4 hrs. Specialties and Futurities have
more leeway, but still 5 to 51/2 hrs is a reasonable expectation,but some
judges have drawn it out all day. Of course you always have the problem of
prompt
decision making. Just because you have a "good eye",doesn't mean you are a
capable judge,if you can't be decisive. This is a learning procedure,so when
you decide to make changes on the requirements, please keep that in mind.
