Don’t know how to get the exact numbers from the CKC, but with AKC, only the
delegates have access to the actual numbers and I’m not sure if they are
“allowed” to make those numbers public. Maybe Carmen can enlighten us. AKC
stopped releasing registration numbers a couple years ago after suffering years
of declining registration numbers due to the commercial breeders leaving AKC
and forming and registering their dogs with the Continental Kennel Club as a
protest to the strict AKC kennel inspections. The why behind this being the
impetus for AKC to no longer make these numbers public is something I really
don’t understand. The decline of registrations to me isn’t a good enough excuse.
