I’m not positive Jen, but most of us up here register our litters
immediately and we have to register the pups within 6 months of selling them
to new owners or we get ‘disciplined’.
There were 3637 GSD’s registered in 2015 and 693 litters. The 2014 figures
were 3803 dogs and 663 litters.
It’s in the December Kennel & Bench which goes out to members only.

Wow! I had no idea the Havanese was such a popular breed in Canada!
Seems that just 13-15 years ago it was a new breed.
Surprised to see the Berner in the top ten too. I don't think it ever has
been in AKC, though I think the Frenchie has made the top twenty here before
:)
Is it a good, or a bad thing our breed has remained in the #2 slot? I
wonder how many registrations that equates to (and is it litter or
individual), and how many pups who were eligible did not get registered.
Anyone know if there's a way to find out the real numbers (for both AKC and
CKC)?
