I bought a lovely southwestern pattern shower curtain a couple of years ago, and promptly forgot about it. I came across it yesterday, and got a thought...it is beautiful, it is real material, (not "plastic"), coated to make it waterproof. I needed a tablecloth...(I could not find my usual vinyl one, (my daughters had taken if off the table for Thanksgiving, and no one could remember where it was)! I put a folded sheet on the table to protect it, and put the shower curtain on top. It does not slip, it is gorgeous, and stains and spills wipe off like a vinyl one! Feels, looks, and is...cloth! I put the button hole side on the "off" side of the table, and no one would ever guess. There are so many gorgeous patterns for shower curtains that are treated cloth, this is going to be fun getting more!
