[ SHOWGSD-L ] A normal Monday in Ohio

Oh, itâ??s so good to be back in the midwest. Here we are with an hour to go
to the Futurity, and it raining in sheets, thunder is rumbling across the
sky with lightning striking as close as a block away. The air is charged
with electricity and wind is blasting the rain sideways through the air.
I think there is a strong possibility they will have to postpone the show,
they sure canâ??t have it in this condition. All that color that the dogs
have developed over the years will be washed away by mother nature. Those
dogs trained to stand, will finally meet their match with the thunder. The
sure footed handlers of today will be slipping and sliding all over the ring.
And those of us who are confirmed wooses wonâ??t go out in the mid-day rain.
Even mad dogs and Englishmen wouldnâ??t venture out in this.
I have to admit Tedi and I are sitting in the room laughing about it. We
left this 40 years ago, and after two days in sweltering heat and humidity,
being burned crisp by an unyielding sun, and ending each day whipped,
exhausted and burned, now we get to endure blistering rain lightening, and
freezing rain.
What a great country.
If there is a show, I will be there. I wonâ??t take out my computer as I don
â??t want to get electricuted, but I will type up the results, if there are
any, on the flight to Grand Rapids. If, the planes get off the ground. No
tornados yet, but the rain is coming down hard enough that when I went to
pack my suitcase in the car, I changed my mind and came back to the room.
Tedi went back to bed, an I decided to give a warning. I guess they call this
a Storm Warning.
OK, I have to admit it. I love the sound of thunder in the morning.
