I think that it is not necessary to post a return link to this site.
If Astro Helper was the only program using the SAC database I might
feel different, but with it being the de-facto standard deep sky
reference in many of the biggest software planetarii (is that a word?),
SAC gains little by promoting this guy's work.
And SAC is certainly under no "courtesy" obligation to create a
reciprocal
link, IMO.
I also note that the SAC links page has no commercially released
planetarii on it. I like this policy, even if it is implicit. Perhaps it
is time to make it explicit.

Got the following request that contains a situation we haven't discussed
before. It is a request to post a link to another, non-SAC members,
site. He is using the SAC database in his program and it is for that
reason he is making the request.
Spoke with Stan and he suggests the topic be taken up by SAC for a
decision, hence this post to canvas members' opinions.
I haven't had time to do a detailed check of this freeware product, but
from the looks of his web site it does appear to be usable - albeit for
DOB owners only.
