Peter, 

In this instance the issue is moot, however the Sac DB has been the basis of
the deep sky catalogue for several commercial planetarium programs, SkyMap
Pro & Guide come to mid off the top of my head. SAC was duly credited in
both. I don't recall it ever being an issue.
