RSC we are moving and grooving! Please give us your thoughts!

Notes:

Budget Talk:
We have 1050.00 to play with. After we pay all of our expenses for travel
Shon and I will split what's left over in an equitable way. We have decided
to not spend any money with out each other's consent.

Question: Do we get a per diem? And who do we ask for contracts? - Ebony
will check on this.

Guiding Question: *How do we support dialogue and action across
generations?*

What communities do we come from? What community are we building
in this space?
Possible Activity (we will choose one):
1. Community Circle: Think about a community you identify with from
smallest to largest. We will go around in a circle and each will vocalize
their affiliations. If some one else identifies, they will make a physical
movement to symbolize connection.
2. Image Theater: Think about the communities you come from. Use your body
to create an image that represent the communities you come from. Then use
your body to create an image that displays the community you want to create
with us. After that, say your name and one of the communities you come
from.

Who were the key players in our growth and development, and why?
Activity:
1. Watch the youth video where they engage the same
question.
2. Story Circle: Talk about a time you were supported to achieve a dream
or goal.
3. Creative responses to themes that emerged during the story circle
4. Creative report back.

Now we will have a whole group discussion about what supports dialogue and
action across generations.
Activities:
1. Large group discussion.
2. Image Theater to activate the conversation

*Break Time*

Now let's consider what makes it a challenge to dialogue and act across
generations.

Activities
1. Shon and Ebony will do the Machine Game (first with struggle)
2. In groups, participants will activate the Machine Game. The goal is to
be a well oiled-machine
3. Report- what are your re-actions to the game, how did you move from
struggle to performing as a well oiled machine.
4. Large group discussion

Case Study: Dialogue and Action Across Generations Can Be Done!! Elandria
and Tufara are ready to give us case studies to pull from.
Activities
1. Pass out the case study
2. Read it and break it down
3. Pose some questions and dialogue about the case study
4. How did this community succeed?
5. What can we take from it and do here is Durham.
