It is worth a try. You have nothing to lose. You can also put a roll of film
in the camera and instead of exposiing it with the shutter. Go from frame to
frame and rotate the camera in the sun letting the sun shine on each side
for about 10 secs. As you change the camera change the frame and write it
down. So in the end you will have a record of what the position of the
camera was in and at what frame. At the end you can tape the bottom and
sides and try it again for all 12 exposures. Then when you see hte results
you will where the light leak was coming from and if the tape corrected it.
