Marc, thanks for telling us about WKHR. I am listening to right now, via the
internet. Very nice. I'll make a contribution, well worth it.

Frank, how much is your time worth? $250 an
hour? Well, instead of plodding through a turgid
discursus for 10 minutes, why not just send $25
to WKHR? Your conscience will be clear, and you
will feel a lot happier about yourself. <he
grins> And maybe people will like you, once
again. <he grins again -- trust me, there isn't
anyone, other than my lawn tortoises, who really
like me, and they only like me because I feed
them when the grass gets scant. Bear in mind
that they will sell all of your most private
secrets for a fig -- these guys are mercenary but, then, so are my dogs.)

Please. I gave 10% of my monthly income to
WKHR. Give something. This station is
struggling. All volunteers, many of them
elderly. High School kids learning to run the
board and to get their licenses. Absolutely no
government funding. No advertising. No
news. Just the music, and thank heavens for
that. Oh, they get off on spins of jazz which I
do not appreciate. I want to hear romantic
songs, though romance died for me in the summer
of 1974. But, still, I like to hear the old
songs played well, be they from the '20's or the
'30's or, for that matter, some modern stuff from Terry Blaine and her ilk.

I have said my piece and will hold my peace. I
have certainly abused my position as List Owner
to the point where, when Eric and Richard realize
what I have done, they will be sending me
Internet dope slaps. So be it. I will shout
down any of you who ask for public contributions
over this List without discussing it with me
first. I might agree, if the cause is neutral and appropriate.

Marc
