Did not state that it was a good scan either Bob, I just wanted to
show what I got with the Microtek 120tf . I usually rent an Imacon
or take my pictures to Lamont here in New York, if the job is
really important. For my in and around the house stuff, re:
website, business cards etc, that scan is good enough for me.
Show me some good scans though, I am interested in seeing some and
the scanner that did it
The Microtek 120tf is a very good scanner, and capable of
exceptionally good results, but needs to be driven by SilverFast AI
or at least Vuescan to produce the best scans. I have the Polaroid
version of the same scanner.
Here's one:

It's a composite of two images, both shot on film and scanned with
the Polaroid 120. My friend Bob posing as a pirate was shot on my
Rollei 6008i with the Schneider 80/2. The pirate ship was shot at
Disney World/EPCOT on a 35mm camera (don't remember which one).
Composition has too much space on the left because it was shot to be
a poster and I left room for text.
