*Nearly* non-existent, not completely non-existent, and one must hunt 
around a bit to find those that have the more thorough information.

The number of sites and pages devoted to Nikon branded equipment likely 
overwhelms any other brand name.  I haven't found a camera brand name or 
system that doesn't have some representation, however meager that might 
be.  The Canon museum (part of the official Canon web site) is unique in 
the industry and is an excellent source of information about specific 
pieces of equipment, systems and their specs.
