We now have a liberal government (the liberals and the conservatives) they
are on there second turn (a new 4 years) and nothing has changed from the
days of the 8 years we had with the socialist-democratic government.
besides the tax and vat on gas and cars we also pay an income tax of 62 %
:-)
so actually when buying a car that cost 114.000 USD we had to earn 300.000
USD
So first payed 186.000 in income tax tot he state, then 22.800 USD VAT and
then about 60.000 CAR TAX leaving about 30.000 USD of value to buy a new
car
In other words in order to by a car valued at 30.000 USd we have to earn 10
times more 300 000 USD
apparantly we are all retards in Denmark or to qote Hamlet "there is
something rotten in the stae of Denmark"

ps. my car is from 1985 - for the time being it is at the mechanics with a
motor that need replacement so it is mountain bike for me these days -
Mountain bikes is another stupid thing really as the highest mountain in
Denmark is a hill of 145 metres - our taxes and all is what comes from
drinking to much snaps and eating fermented fish and cheese old eneugh to
have experienced the early days of photography
