Yes, all T's, Rolleimagic, and New Standard cameras use Bayonet I.
The RolleiMagics (both models) actually have Bayonet II with the 45mm lens
distance, same as the 3.5F.
FIGHT! FIGHT! ;-)
But seriously folks, which of you is right? Please don't both say, "ME!"
The same caps also fit the 2.8A although I think
that original cap may not be a foldable chrome one as come with the 3.5F and
definately not the non-foldable plastic one that comes with the Magics.
My owner's manual for my Rolleiflex T says the lens cap is Rollei part number BACAP. Which spacing is that?
My Rolleiflex Magic manual doesn't even mention one, still, it came with a press-on factory plastic cover. Is that the 'non-foldable' plastic one Siu mentions? It works, but I'd much rather have one that mounts by bayonet!
Hold on. A more careful reading of the manual mentions that it uses a lens hood "With size II bayonet mount" and various filters that all use the same mount. Case closed for the Magic! Advantage Sui Fai!
Those wider caps also fits the 3.5E3, so basically the 3.5E and the 3.5E2 are the only exceptions that uses the narrow cap and Mutar rings.

P.S. Final query: Does anyone here have a complete and sound neck strap for the Magic?
