I don't think you will go wrong. The newest one offers a lot for a decent
price. I'd advise getting a good lens. Lens quality is worth the money. What
makes Leica so good is the quality of the lenses.

When I bought a Rebel 12 years ago, I recall someone saying that Canon, unlike
Nikon, designed their autofocus lenses without an eye to keeping compatibility
with its older lenses whereas Nikon kept the mount the same so that old lenses
would be compatible with the autofocus camera. The result was that Canon had
fast to focus autofocus.

Over time, Canon developed as system where there are many points on the
focusing screen one can choose to have as spot the camera will focus to. I
imagine Nikon has done that, too, but I have not seen such a convenience on any
medium format autofocus camera. Does any MF camera offer that?

The Contax 645 had a slow autofocus vs the Hasselblad 645. The Rollei 6008 has
a limited number of autofocus lenses. Has anyone had any experience with all
three of these? What has been your impression?

Doug
