The 2/85 Sonnar was in continuos production at Carl Zeiss Jena and its successor works (Pentacon, &c) from 1932 until roughly 1980. There is a good deal of variation in the lens mounts -- the early ones were steel and brass, later ones aluminium, but the lenses are optically quite similar.
A reworked 2/85 Sonnar was in production at Oberkochen under the Zeiss-Opton and Carl Zeiss brands from 1948 into the middle 1960's. This lens is of a tweaked formula and the lens mounts tend to be of higher quality than Postwar Jena lenses, though they are functionally identical.
