at the basilica, Palm Sunday begins at the back. We chose the simple entrance,
since the basilica doesn't have a basement.

The mass starts off with the singing of the usual "Hosanna, to the son of
David......", then a reading, then something else, then the opening hymn, which
is "All Glory Laud And Honor". The 5pm mass today was over by 6:10pm. I have 4
masses tomorrow, which is going to be a very long day for me. The high mass
with the choir (11am) will be long, and will probably be over just in time for
the mass right after it, which is at 12:30pm.

The choir will be singing "The Palms" by Jean Fauré, and "The Holy City" by
Weatherly/Adams, both in SATB. My postludes are different for each of the 5
masses.

This week is going to be so long, and thank God it comes but once a week!
