Welcome to the group. We'd like to know exactly where you live....I was stationed in Frankfurt/Bonames, with an apartment in Bad Homburg on the hill behind the casino. After discharge from the army, I remained, was choir director at St. Christopher's in Frankfurt, where it is nestled there in the Rothschild park...actually rented a grand piano and practiced in the old tower to the estate that became the park, that friends rented. Used to enjoy visitng the Opel zoo to the west and it was fun going on out further and up the mountain in the snow to the restaurant under the transmitting towers. Coasting down the mountain in the VW with the engine off saved gas and made for a cheap date! Anyhow, I was organist at the DOM in Frankfurt for the English Masses for awhile...loved the area, but ended up touring with musicals as msucia director and worked in Berlin the Bremen as a guest at the Stadttheatre Hamburg at the Theatre am Briennerstrasse and Munich. I was lucky enough to find great housing in small towns, including the Naturfreunde Haus in Sindelfingen when I was working in Stuttgart for a month and the Ford Studenten village in Berlin. The rich musical life of Germany is beyond all comprehension in any other country in the world, in my opinion. And, being single at the time, what mastery I have your language came from dating, though the dialogue coaches at the Theatre in Bremen were a help, especially in eliminating my American Mid-western UR when pronoucing aber...aber, das ist genug! We are pleased to welcome a Rodger Representative from Germany to the fold. -- noel jones, aago athens, tennessee, usa 423 887-7594 ------------------------------- frog music press rodgers organ users group www.frogmusic.com ============================================================================= New low pricing on books and music for the Rodgers Organ at www.frogmusic.com ============================================================================= To unsubscribe or change mail delivery (digest, vacation) go to www.frogmusic.com/rodgersmem.html
