Confession time

Its not hard keys that are the problem for me, sometimes halfway along the
stave - I have to check what key I'm in. My concentration factor must be
weak. Of course - doesn't happen all the time, usually it happens when I
least expect it and Tengo que verificar lo que importante estoy en, oops I
lapsed into Spanish, I meant to say I have to check what key I am in.
Seriously, if anyone else does this and has a method by which it has been
combatted - sure would love to know. I think its probably down to self
discipline, and I certainly need more of that.

Best wishes all

for a congregational hymn at a funeral. I have been known to "zone out" on
occasions in the early morning, that particular morning being a case in
point I guess. Our hymnals had been recently replaced, and I failed to
notice that the key signature had changed from D to D flat--no big deal
since all the notes are the same. The problem came when I came to a portion
of the accompaniment where they had added a modulation in the updated
accompaniment. YOWSERS--did I wake up fast--what a disaster!
