James, Thanks for your message. We have 7 Insignias up here in the East Tennessee area, all in churches except for one in the home of a physician who gives it a good workout. Once the initial software conflicts worked worked out, they have all been working very, very well, using the 1.7 Update software...except for one. It displayed all kinds of strange behavior. After 6 weeks, we swapped it for another one and took it back to the store where it has worked perfectly, while the newer one now at the church has started to show all the problems the first one did. The only clue is that it usually happens when the church lights are on and there are people in the building. Our power comes from TVA here. They were kind enough to test the power at the pole using scanners for two 72 hour periods. TVA is required to provide power at 120 volts with no fluctuation in voltage below 92%...110 volts. The organ has now been tested and if the power in the wall socket drops to 95 volts or below it will act very strangely and freeze up. There is sufficient equipment in the building that causes these vary large drops, including air conditioning, electric stoves and so forth. Rather than run a dedicated line from the main fuse box, they are purchasding a power line conditioner to provide steady voltage for the organ. Just a thought. -- noel jones, aago athens, tennessee, usa 423 887-7594 ------------------------------- frog music press, publishing MIDI music moderator, rodgers organ users group at www.frogmusic.com
