Frequent breaks for the people working (yes, it can be considered work) on
things like registration, PM, LCO where you have to be outside in the same
location. I know that help is limited and perhaps even minimal, but even if
you have two people rotating every couple hours it will help.
I was at an LDRS for a week and it can be a challenge if it’s really hot. I
would plan for it.

Electricity is not that big a deal for evaporative coolers.
The issue is water. They use a bunch when the humidity is as low as
expected on the lakebed. (Single digit range.)
Even a small unit can use 29 to 30 gallons a day.
Their usefulness outside is limited, and with any air movement they quickly
lose any efficiency. I have used the portable type on outside jobs and not
been impressed.
It might work better to cool one of the trailers, and move
registration/merchandise sales in that.
I will see what the rental rate is for one that my little Yamaha generator
can run.

large generator like you do with AC. Even a large fan with some mister
nozzles would work. But, then you have to create a way to pressurize the
water for continual use. I’ve done this in the past with a small
pressure-demand water pump.
BTW: I suggest just referring to the command center as just LDRSHCRV. You
just have to repeat it a couple times to get it right. 😊

Chris,
The LDRS Headquarters Command RV will be arriving on Saturday afternoon,
as will I. On Sunday, we will do some preliminary setup work and start the
main setup on Monday and Tuesday. Anyone that would like to assist can
show up and will be welcomed. Porta potties will arrive Monday I believe,
if not on Friday.
Evaporative coolers would be a great idea. Now if we could just find
someone to make it happen and maintain them during the launch....
