Attached is a 30th anniversary (not the 40th) Estes Saturn V that I'm
flying at NSL. The kit was donated by Brother John Van Norman, built
by me, and displayed at various events over the last year. Now, it's
time for this bird to fly! I added an adapter to use five E9's, about
1/4 lb nose weight (just aft of the command module) and an altimeter
bay. I'm using a PerfectFlite WD for deployment.
Although the big high-powered rockets are probably the coolest, it's
still fun to build and launch model rockets.
