You might want to create a hotmail account just to receive chat. Evidently, hotmail doesn't have any problems with receiving anything - which can also be a drag. However, it will mirror messages that you send to chat. I never had a problem with hotmail and ROCchat but I suggest a password for hotmail that's more complex than the code used for a nuclear strike.
