I'd install 8.3.1 directly for the adding of the extra content and stuff,
but if that's not an issue for you, then no. Be sure to install dimension
pro before installing the 8.3.1 update, since it updates files from
dimension pro.
Then upgrade to 8.5.3.

I just restored a clean image of my C drive and installed Sonar 8.0
Producer. Can I go straight to 8.5 or do I have to run any of the 3 or 4
upgrades to the original?
