You can press applications key on messages you want to keep that land in the 
junk folder and add them to the safe senders list.  There are also some junk 
options, but they aren't perfect.  You can also create mail rules, but this 
is a lot of work.

Hi, I have noticed that some ads make it to my inbox and some of the mail I 
reallywant to see shows up in the junk folder instead of inbox.  I use 
windows live mail.  what is windows live using to determine where incoming 
mail goes?  How can I make sure that the mail I want comes to inbox and the 
junk or ads really do go to the junk folder?  Thanks for help.
