Labels do print off great too. But I usually print the business type of envelopes. For other sizes, such as Christmas cards, the size is printed on the box. It has been a really long time since I have changed the size. I guess I would recommend printing business on the printer and any other size using printed labels. If you're using an envelope that is not standard business size, then you'll also hae to change the settings. I usually just print all my addresses on labels and stick them on the cards. Much easier than trying to feed all those envelopes through the printer. I believe the default is a standard business size envelope and most Christmas cards, for example, are a different size. If you do not change the size, it could print the addresses in the wrong place or maybe miss the envelope all together.
