You may first need to go to the RockBox site to find out whether or not the
Muvo is supported.

Question: How would I load Rock Box into my Creative Mu-Vo Mp3 player? How
will it talk once it's in there?

Kim

This technology has been around since 1975, how could you not know about
this?=20
Just kidding!
I have listened to demonstrations of the Rockbox used on an MP3 player
called the Iriver.
It may have been a bit sluggish, but it faithfully read the menus of the
player just fine.

Hello all,

This may be olds to some of you, but it's news to me.

There is an open source project that has created a firmware replacement
for some MP3 players that makes them accessible to the visually
impaired. The firmware is called RockBox. It supposedly can work on
several different types of MP3 players, including some IPods. One thing
it does is generate voice output for the menus and other features of the
player. To read more about the project, go to:

http://www.rockbox.org=20

Has anybody on this list tried this? If so, what were your results?

Thanks.
