Nice try, but it is no use. I get the feeling I am trying to navigate a
Grand Prix course with a wood-fired steam locomotive. Man, I really don't
want to shell out money for a new screen reader.

Hi Mitchell,

Try pressing shift insert V in Jaws 7.1 to create custom settings for the
site. then down arrow to refresh page automatically and turn it off with
the space bar. Let me know if that helps.

Well, it is a question of antiquation then. I am using JFW 7.1 and
Window-Eyes 5.something. Rarely fire Win-Eyes up as it always crashes a few
minutes into a session.

I can sort of make the site work if I kill the java script, but can't add to
cart without it.

There are other sites that sell music in lossless format.
www.hdtracks.com
www.linnrecords.com

Those I am familiar with. More coming online all the time. The flac homepage
does a fairly decent job of keeping such things up-to-date. Seen a few other
sites recently with notices that flac will soon be available.

I don't know how much I would buy from the Decca site; all I ever saw was
prices in pounds. I was able to blunder around enough to see there are boxed
sets there for DL that aren't currently in print. Amazon still shows some of
these as available, but as soon as they are out of print, the price
unusually goes way up. I haven't come to the point of taking chances on used
CDs. I demand absolutely perfect rips. I have bought used CDs locally when I
have someone with me to check the condition of the CD. Had good luck in that
regard.

Hi.
Let me first thank you for letting us know about this site, I wasn't aware
anyone was selling music in FLAC format, these people seem to be, though
their pricing is a bit high, in my view.
To answer your question, though, I'm afraid I can't reproduce your problem.
I was able to search, find an album, and go all the way up to buying it
without trouble. I am using Jaws 12. If I may ask, what access tech/version
are you working with? Also, have you tried Firefox with the NoScript
plug-in?

Would some of you all with more up-to-date screen readers and/or browsers
give this web site a try?
www.deccaclassics

With my older versions of Window-Eyes and JFW, I can't navigate this site at
all. It seems to refresh via Flash or Java Script every ten seconds or so.
If I try to enter a text string to search on (just try any composer as it is
mostly classical music) I get punched out of edit mode before I am finished.
Actually, I don't even need to type anything in. If I just enter the edit
box and let it sit there, I will be dumped out in a few seconds. This has
got to be the most unusable web site I have ever seen. Bummer, because they
have stuff here for download (and in lossless format) that isn't available
in CD at comparable prices. If this is just a problem with my out of date
software, then it may be time for an upgrade. If, on the other hand, it is a
problem with the site, I am going to have to find a way to complain.
