Funny! I am not getting much in the way of spam right now. I used to forward
those to RR, but grew tired of that exercise. I just kill them locally, but
haven't been seeing any spam of late.

There are other solutions you can try, but they usually involve paying more
money out. Also, there are numerous after-market software (including some
antivirus programs) that have wide-ranging capabilities in the mail
filtering department. Unfortunately, the really good systems for screening
out junk mail are all aimed at corporate use, and they cost accordingly.
Postini is one such service I am familiar with and was very impressed.
Several years ago I looked into it for home use, but the cost was pretty
impressive at the time and clearly not aimed at home use. There is another
intriguing service that advertises on the Security Now podcasts: I can't
remember the name of the company. Maybe Steve will chime in with the company
name.

Subject: [real-eyes] Spam? and what can be done about it?

I used to never hret junk mail messages in my inbox, and now I do. It is
not as bad as what I have seen in other situations but I do not want any. I
contacted Road Runner and explained my situation to them and they provided
me with an email address where I could forward the spam as an attachment and
they would add it to their block senders list. As I understand it, this
would also block these spam messages from other customers and theirs would
block from me as well. This still doesn't help. I still receive repeat
emails and I haven't found anyone there that can recommend anything or
anyone else to have me talk to about this problem. I have also started
blocking these senders, but I don't like the idea of filling up my deleted
items folder with these unwanted email messages. I am running windows
essentials and windows xp and outlook express. On my laptop I am running
windows 7 and windows mail as my email client and I get some of them there
as well. Does anyone have a nything else I could try?
Hugs, AJ
