Hello Luis, I am forwarding you this message not for the content, but only for the phone nummber at the end of the message. This Robert Beech is apparently a teacher at a Kansas City community college, and my intuition tells me he might be able to answer a question or two. I have been thinking about your flash drive situation, and realizing it is a hardware question, of course, and a very simple one, but I am not yet sure what the answer is. When I first got my flash drive, I took it to the community college, and she the instructor formatted it. I do not know if that is necessary to use it in your case. Also, once you put it in the USB port for the first time, is there a step that lets your computer recognize it as a removeable storage device? I did not have to know this either to use my flash drive, so I have not yet learned it. Once you have determined if your flash drive needs more than just putting it in your USB port, then it is just a matter of using the save as dialog box. And I have gotten proficient at saving things. So I do not want you to get discouraged, but just think of these things. What I wish for you is that you could get some in home help with some of the specifics of the hardware and software of your system. If you can get some of the basics out of the way, it is easier for people to help you over the phone or by E mail. I know I had an instructor from a service organization in my home briefly, and he recommended the ATI school. But more about all this later, I just wanted to give you Robert Beech's phone number, I do not know if he would be helpful directly, but he could give you some resources you might think of using in Indiana. Perhaps you sense my frustration that you do not have the help you need and deserve. I just keep asking away, I go to a computer lab at my local community college, and I am making progress. Under better circumstances, I could race ahead, I feel. But on the other hand, I am forced to go slowly and really absorb each concept. I am sorry this is so long winded and a bit rambling.
