Have you tried disconnecting Apple TV from its power source for several minutes
and then re-connecting to power on again?

I haven't accessed it in a few weeks, and now it seems to every time I switched
to it I have to go into settings and rejoin the network. What could be causing
this? Sometimes I even have to put in the password. And the response is over
all slow
