Hi all, I discovered a bug with iTunes this weekend having to do with Genius Mix in iTunes. I'll explain in a bit but I've since found a forum discussion group on the Apple site where many are having this problem all over the world. If you use iTunes this could happen to you as it did for us on two different machines. Here is the URL for the discussion group and then I'll explain more. To view the full topic, visit: <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2678205> We had recently set up Apple TV and I have an iPod Touch 64 and two Windows PC's running the latest version of iTunes. I had installed an app called remote to my iPod Friday evening and was using it for the first time Saturday afternoon and it seemed to be working pretty well. During that time my wife tried to access her Genius Mix through Apple TV and she was told that it was missing and could not be accessed. We looked in iTunes and sure enough it was gone, vanished. I doubt using remote had anything to do with this but it is a possibility which I haven't posted to the discussion group above just yet. What seems to have happened to a great many people began on Thursday December 9 where it looks like if you chose to update Genius with additional content it just disappears after that. Someone posted on the forum that Apple is working on it but I don't have any real confirmation of that. I tried to send a message to Apple last night using their Express Lane but guess what? It was also down and was told to try again later. I should mention that if this happens to you no content is lost it just means that you can't use it to pull in your entire library to have it as a huge mix which we did. You will find that Genius itself is still present and you can create a mix of 25, 50, or 100 tracks by selecting a song and then have Genius look for similar content but that isn't the same as Genius Mix. Well, I hope it doesn't happen to anyone here but if it does you'll just have to wait to see if Apple fixes it and in the meantime if you can let them know about it that might help.
