Kim,

There is a section in the manual on using flash drives with the Stream. I =
haven't read it yet as I haven't need that feature. I figure it will give =
you directions on how to copy the files to the Stream or access them from =
the flash drive without having to copy them over.

As far as using the Send To option to move books to the Stream, you can =
use the method you mentioned, but it will cause the Stream to be less =
effecient and will make it very difficult to remove the files associated =
with particular books when you're finished with them. HW does not =
recommend the method you mentioned.

Creating the folder and organizing the books will be much better in the =
long run, and it is not a difficult process.

Robert,

That eliminates the ability to just go into my documents, where I've =3D
saved the book, and hit send to removable disk.=3D20

I have another question: I have all of my music files on a U3 USB drive. =
=3D
When I plug it into the Victor via the USB interface cable, obviously =3D
all of these songs aren't in a folder--they're just in a row, one song =3D
after another. How does Victor locate information that was not =3D
specifically created for its folders?

Kim,

You need all of the files. Some have the navigation information, some =3D
=3D3D
have the text of the book, some have the audio (if present), etc. =3D
Create =3D3D
a folder for each book on the Stream's card, then copy the files for =3D
that =3D3D
book into that folder. Remember that you should create a main folder =3D
=3D3D
named $vrdtb and all DAISY books should go into that folder.

HTH!

I'm thrilled; I have now mastered Windows Explorer (thank =
=3D
=3D3D
you
Robert!) and I've been copying files like crazy.

Question: I've always copied .brf files to my bookport; this is my first
time copying Daisy digital files from bookshare.org. I presume Victor =3D
will
not read .brf documents. . . When the file is copied, four different
versions of the file come up-including a file with an .opf extension and =
=3D
a
file with an .xml extension. Why are there four different files, and =3D
which
one will work in the Victor?
