Winter at 1600 and 3200 ISO.7D camera, 18-200 RF-S lens at 18mm taken from my front porch (such as it is...it's more like 4 concrete steps.)
1600 photo: 1/4 sec f4, monopod. 3200 photo 1/20 sec f3.5, hand held. Image stabilization on for both of 'em. Illumination: available light plus porch light fluorescent 40w.Some fiddling in Paintshop to correct white balance, color cast and contrast. No sharpening.
Original images from 18.2mp sensor 5184x3456, 7mb each. I didn't get the RAW image. Maybe later.
Absolutely astounding that ISO values that high can produce passable results. Neither one of 'em is gonna win a prize for Image Quality, but compared to the last time I messed with fast film (1970, using Ilford 800 pan) they're almost like what you'd see from Kodachrome at 25.
