I’ve been running Racktables 0.20.11 on Ubuntu Server 16.04.1 LTS successfully
for a while.
I am running MySQL Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.17, for Linux (x86_64).
I haven’t encountered this bug. I did have an associated bug:

but I was able to resolve it using the fix mentioned in the bug.
So, it is possible to run RackTables on Ubuntu. I wonder if it is some
combination of OS/SQL/PHP version causing the issue?
