I have two patch panels (currently) but expect that they'll be expanding at
some point.
PP1: Located in each rack. Cables from each machine connected to the production
interface link the machine to this first type of patch panel.
PP2: "The other end" of the patch panel #1 above is a PP in a rack slot at my
central row. A cable goes from this patch panel to the Cisco master switch to
connect the production interface to the net.
My guess is that this is the simplest style of PP usage.
