RHEL is no longer free, so we can;t give it out at the events. OL is
free, and free to redistribute. So personally it's easier to use OL
just from the logistics side.
To get this done, how about we divide and conquer to workload?
Anyone up for an organizational call to figure it out?
Also, is the a RACAttack at #C17LV this year? I have not heard
anything about that?

ouch, RH7.4 is out?
I would stick on Oracle Linux because it has specific
components... like asm drivers, the rpm preinstall... and the yum
repository is open.
Moreover it is "Red Stack".
What do you think?
Many steps will be the same anyway, so if you want to
double-check the steps on RH7.4, it is an added value, probably

Could I work on it with Redhad 7.4 ?

Great idea!
Did we create another slack channel or did we just talk
about it? Maybe we can create an oracleracsig domain and
have channels for #racattack or #racattack12cr2 as well
as general purpose and other channels i.e. #collaborate
etc.

Hi everyboby,
Oracle 12cR2 is out and the RAC Attack dogs are too! :-)
Do you want to join to write the next edition of the
worldwide famous workshop?
Here's the Google Drive share where you can find some

There 's a .txt that already covers the basic steps to
configure the OS.
I think that the stack should be the following:
- Virtualbox 5.1
- Oracle Linux 7.3
- Grid Infrastructure 12.2
- Oracle Database 12.2
What do you think?
I set up a Slack workspace to better communicate:
https://racattack12cr2.slack.com
<https://racattack12cr2.slack.com/>, please DM me in
order to have acces if you want to volunteer.
The RAC Attack is based on wikibooks, it you are new
