I agree with your sentiment. Last year at Collaborate we had about 10
people and I believe we had the same at GLOC. How many were at MOUS? I
thought I only saw 1 person? When I saw there were already 3 of you as
mentors in the room I figured I would just be one more chef in the kitchen
that wasn't needed.
I think there are various factors attributing to this and perhaps one thing
that might help is to develop some of the more advanced labs. Another thing
that might also help spark interest is an upgrade workshop from 11gR2 to
12gR2. That may come with its own set of challenges and time constraints
for a one day workshop.

In regards to the RAC on Oracle Cloud, I think that's a great idea and
anything Oracle Cloud workshop related will have great interest. As Erik
mentioned already, the biggest challenge is the accounts. At my work I
recently sat through 2 Oracle sponsored workshops and both times we had
problems related to accounts that caused me to not complete the hands-on
portion. This seems to be their weakest area at this point and it's
something I believe they need to resolve/be more lenient with if they plan
to go "big time".

I know Racattack is about installing RAC on VMs, and the book is not
intended to teach everything. However, what about a section that would
explain what's really done in real life
